It is Fall 1941. On a freighter travelling from England, a newly hired chambermaid attends to her mistress as she travels to meet her fiance at his Irish father's vast banana plantation in Panama. Approaching a Panamanian port, the freighter explodes an sinks, separating the chambermaid from her mistress. And when she is safely left on shore, her mistress' family immediately believes she is future bride of their son, brother, and heir to his father's riches, Andres Quinn.
