Everyone I think grows up with those family traditions and recipes that have been passed down over the years. It is not just the food but the stories and memories that make them magical. For what seems like forever, I have enjoyed cooking, but suddenly, I realized that not only was it relaxing for me, I was pretty darn good at it. For years people have been asking for my recipes, but I would laugh and say, "they are family secrets!" Then I started thinking that "family secrets" are meant to be shared and passed on so they can continue to bring joy and memories to the ones we love. Never before are the recipes for my sausage balls that are a must have at Christmas, Thanksgiving dressing, and Papa's Chicken Pot Pit. Most of the recipes have a story that will now live on in each person that reads it, then shares the meal with their family. I want it to feel like you are in my kitchen and we are cooking together, so this is not like your usual cookbook. I hope you feel my southern hospitality shining through as if I'm talking with you. This same cookbook is also offered at a slightly higher price with the pictures in color! I wanted to make this cookbook affordable but adding color pictures increases the production price. To some color pictures may help with the preparation of the dishes.**
