As you page through this adult coloring book, you will see the page on the left has the color image of one of Degas' paintings. The image to the right is a grayscale version of the painting. This way, you can easily use the color photo as a reference if you choose to do so. This art coloring book can be a great exercise for learning to use variations in color to show depth. Color light layers of colored pencils to allow the grayscale shading to show through and add depth to your coloring. You may choose to use a more opaque medium like gel pens or markers and cover the grayscale image completely.
