Bridgewater Holidays is a companion book to the popular Bridgewater Chronicles series. The series spans the time period from 1890 through the present. Bridgewater Holidays centers on the extravagant celebrations of the major holidays at Bridgewater and how those celebrations impact not only the Newkirk family and their guests but shows us the celebration from the viewpoint(s) of their dedicated domestic staff. The book is a compilation of short stories and each story is set in a different era. A brief background is provided for several of the holiday stories. You'll find yourself smiling, laughing, and at times reaching for the tissue box or lace-trimmed hanky as you learn how the holidays are celebrated at Bridgewater where oftentimes the preparation for the holiday is just as intriguing as the festivity itself.
