This book is designed to help you understand what is expected of a learner driver and whilst it will be an invaluable asset in the learning process there is no substitute for practical driving lessons with a qualified instructor. A fully qualified instructor should by law display a green octagonal licence in the windscreen of the tuition vehicle to indicate he or she is a Driving Standards Agency approved instructor. So look for the licence badge before you take lessons and better still look for a driving school which uses the instructors' version of this book so that you are both on the same wavelength.
