The main characters, Lisa Sutter, San Francisco socialite crushed by other's greed and prescription drugs, is moved by friends to a haven named Newcastle to recoup. She meets Graham Winchester, a strong, spiritual, fourth generation California rancher, businessman, philanthropist and heir to rifle fortunes multiplied with cattle holdings and race horse breeding. Living this style he seems content; but being a widower doesn't answer Graham's need for a rewarding life. Change is in the air when Graham and Lisa's paths cross.
