Publisher Marketing: Where did the idea come from that if something isn't going well, if life doesn't make you happy, you gotta run? You gotta move a lot, and fast, so you can go beyond the speed of events and get to the future before facts are consummated. Maybe it was in Greece, didn't the Greeks come up with this Game of pushing the boundaries, and then called it The Olympics? I must confess that, after running so much, I stumbled and fell. I felt like I had taken a beating, carrying around a physical and emotional pain that was hard to deal with. It was as if the mirror of reality had shattered into countless shards, taking away hope and joy to leave behind a gray, mechanical landscape without any music, without any aroma. I looked at the shards and felt lost. As an athlete who had ran so much and lost her way, I squatted down and touched the pieces of glass carefully, trying to identify the signs to find my bearings. Among the smallest of pieces, I looked for those that belonged to me, that had been robbed by diseases, social abuse, or looted due to frustrated choices. Whatever happened to human integrity? My eyes rested on a given spot amid the shards, where I saw shades of pink. Maybe they alluded to lips, a hint at a smile, perhaps? This perspective encouraged me to keep searching, and soon I found fragments of an eye. Deep down there was a bit of a spark. Wonderful! Not all is lost. If those fragments still contained the essence, it could be ultimately recovered, and that gray reality could once again be colorful! Albert Einstein said that "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving." That was exactly what life had done to me. It threw me a sharp shard to remind me that the sap of creation runs inside each human being. We are banned from becoming stagnant and we must keep pedaling for the blood to flow and bring out the draft of the future. Among true facts and true landscapes, I sprinkled regular characters, men and women like us, taking a stroll through the cities where we live, rehearsing a happier existence. From each one of them, I took a part to make them perfect. I spread uneasiness to describe a collective need, each one of them with a unique absence, in a game of transformation. I chose the courage that sprouted in me and now I want to share it with you. In Greek, it has its own name: Andres. And his story is just beginning.
