National Proceedings: Forest and Conservation Nursery Association-2010 U S Department of Agriculture

Publisher Marketing: These proceedings are a compilation of 25 papers that were presented at the regional meetings of the forest and conservation nursery associations and the Intertribal Nursery Council meeting in the United States in 2010. The Joint Meeting of the Southern Forest Nursery Association and Northeastern Forest and Conservation Nursery Association was held at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 26 to 29, 2010. Subject matter for the technical sessions included marketing strategies, tree improvement programs, nursery certification, fumigation updates, and insect and disease management. Field trips included afternoon tours of the ArborGen Nursery in Bluff City, AR, Baucum Nursery in North Little Rock, AR, and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Small Farm Outreach Lonoke Site. The Joint Meeting of the Western Forest and Conservation Nursery Association and Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia: Target Seedling Symposium-2010 was held at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel in Portland, OR, on August 24 to 26, 2010. Subject matter for the technical sessions included the target seedling, seed handling, seedling nutrition, seedling culturing, pest management, nursery research and new technology, and general nursery topics.
