A story of faith, love and endurance, the reader is taken back in time to discover life of early natives on the American continent. This is a story of one of the Lord's chosen servants promised to live until His return. However, we find, the Lord didn't promise it would be easy. Fleeing what predicts to be a frigid winter, Kurtanus stumbles on an ancient tribe in a high mountain meadow. Hiding from their enemy, the Chahta, the Appolo tribe is struggling to survive and to find a way back to their once prosperous life in the eastern valley. Challenged by the tribe's chief warrior seeking only revenge on the Chahta, Kurtanus is tasked to teach the tribe that prosperity comes only with peace and following gospel principles. Salvation will come only with sacrifice and Kurtanus himself will seek salvation from an unlikely partner, Natiya.
