We are therefore left to spend our days trying to find meaning in whatever ways we can, while also trying to keep close to our loved ones while we still have the chance. This short story collection talks about nothing new, but- hopefully- does so in a unique and well-crafted enough way to resonate with people. In settings that include working class Latino neighborhoods, sword and armor era battlefields, and an imagined afterlife, these stories aim to make readers think about what it means to be human.
