We obtain our peace inwardly through going to a higher being...this being is God. No parent or spouse or friend can change your life for you. They two are human like you and have frailties and biases that are not what you need in times of trouble. You are an individual and have different needs, dreams and desires from your parents and others. Seek God for God accepts us as we are and does not judge us at all. I tell you pray without ceasing. Pray to God and know your prayers will bring about the changes you need in yourself and your life.
