Duke always believed he was destined to do something 'great' but could not nail down just what his 'dream' looked like. He spent the 80s building commercial bridges between the US and China. As a result, he established friendships with many Chinese and a positive reputation with some of the top leaders of the Government of the PRC. The TianAnMen Square disaster forces him to return to the States. He starts his life over, but a different scenario will bring him back to China and makes itself known through one of the 'old friends' from those years.
