Misconceptions about the Bible are plentiful, from how Jesus is depicted to whether certain events did happen in real life. A much-debated aspect of the Bible is whether certain tribes/people in the Bible were of the black race. In the new historical book by author John Onyeka, African Lineage in Biblical History, the belief of Africans in the Bible is strongly supported through timelines of biblical events and biblical figures. John desires for readers to see God as a God to all races, where we are created in His image and resembling qualities of Jesus. He delves into the origins of the African heritage through the lineage of Noah's sons, Ham and Shem, then tracing their ancestry further into people of Ethiopia, African Egyptians and those in Canaan, Israel. Being an African-American pastor himself, John wants all to see the African race is as important to God as other races.
