She was groomed by her parents to be a powerful Prayer Intercessor and teacher of God's word. She is an excellent Bible teacher and the gifts of prayer transferred from her parents rest heavily on her life. Prayer, praising and studying the word of God is the most vital of all services in her home. Pastor Powell is the founder and Senior Pastor of "The New Creation Tabernacle International Ministries Inc.", "Cornwall New Creation Tabernacle International Mission and Convention Center" in Jamaica W. I. and "The New Creation Tabernacle International and Global Prayer Network." Pastorship and shepherding the flocks of God not only happen in the church with her, but it is an everyday lifestyle for her. Her love for others is contagious and even by her presence she teaches us to love. Pastor Sarah Joy Powell is the Author of two other books entitled, "E-S-C-A-P-E" & "THE INTEGRITY OF THE SALT." These can be used as evangelistic tools which portray synopses and testimonies of her life while being transformed by Christ. She is a short term missionary to many different countries: Malawi-Africa, Israel, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica-West Indies. PASTOR POWELL EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND IS: An Associate of Science in Health Services from Bronx Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Rochelle College of Nursing, a Certificate of Chaplaincy from New York Theological Seminary, Master of Professional Studies and Master of Divinity in Mission from Alliance Theological Seminary. She has three children and three grandchildren.
