The cold air was an unexpected surprise to her. There was a definite chill to the day... As she stooped down to grab the blanket, horror struck her, "Oh my God!" she screamed as she saw in the midst of the blue blanket, there was a baby. She stared in disbelief for an instant before she could do anything at all. Suddenly the cool autumn day took on a freezing chill as she felt a wind blow that gave her shivers throughout her entire body. She grabbed the baby and held it close to her body but it did not move, nor fuss, nor cry in the least and she was again frozen with the shock of it all. She wouldn't let her mind comprehend what had happened; surely this had to be a bad dream, which she would awaken from any moment. So she did what anyone would do in the middle of a nightmare. She ran. Clutching the baby tightly, she ran into the house, nearly hysterical as she called her neighbor's name... The stillness of the house was all she could hear. No one came running. No one answered her cries. "Oh my God, Oh my God, please help me?" was all she could say and she knew it was only for her ears alone.
