When Sandra's youngest was born, she had four children under seven years old. One daughter was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, and her son was born with a rare disease that required intravenous feeding for over twenty years, and eventually a four-organ transplant. Her son's positive attitude has helped him become the compassionate pharmacist that he is today, enabling him to help others.
