The prayers of the Catholic Church are timeless. This collection begins with instructions for private Baptism and then continues through the basic prayers. Instructions on the feasts and fasts of the Church are included. This is followed by the Commandments of God and the Church. A large section on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, including an explanation of the Mass and the ornaments seen in a Catholic Church. Also included are instructions for hearing Mass spiritually, when one cannot do so actually. Also included is a Profession of Faith, which is so important in these days when so many doubt or deny the Faith. A section is devoted to the Sacrament of Confession with prayers before and after, an examination of conscience and how to go to Confession. This is followed by devotions for Holy Communion. Basic prayers, such as the seven penitential psalms and various litanies are included. There are instructions and devotions for the sick. Many books omit devotions for Confirmation, but these are included here. There is also a prayer to know the true Religion! Vespers for the major feasts and Sundays of the year is included so all can fulfill Pope Saint Pius X's desire that the faithful assist at and pray Vespers each Sunday. After a section on devotion to the Scapular are included the famous prayers of Saint Bridget. This is followed by many other holy prayers and hymns.
