Courtney fue finalista en RITA(r) y fue nominada en RT Reviewer's Choice a la mejor novela romantica. Su segunda novela fue elegida como mejor libro de 2010 en los premios Publishers Weekly Best Book. Courtney vive en las Montanas Rocosas (Estados Unidos) junto a su marido, a su perro poco domesticado y a su energico gato. Mucho antes que ella empezara a escribir novelas historicas, Courtney se graduo en Quimica y Fisica por la Universidad de Berkeley. Despues se inscribio en la escuela de derecho de la Universidad de Michigan y obtuvo la calificacion de summa cum laude. Luego trabajo un poco como secretaria para personas muy importantes y que son demasiado serias para ser nombradas aqui. Posteriormente, trabajo como profesora de derecho durante un tiempo pero ahora se dedica a escribir a tiempo completo.
