Princess Caddy Finds a Home tells the adventure of a small cat named Caddy, who searches for a home and people to love her.

As a speech pathologist for many years, it has been the author's experience that using animals to teach articulation and language skills is highly successful. This story promotes vocabulary development (over 100 words from simple to complex), basic concepts, and answering who, what, where, when, and why questions.

Not only is Princess Caddy Finds a Home educational, it's entertaining and funny as well!

About the Author

Author Anne Higgins M. S. CCC has a master's degree in speech pathology, a B. S. from the University of Texas (Austin) and a M. S. from the University of Texas Dallas branch. Higgins worked for many years as a speech pathologist in Plano, Texas. She became the coordinator of this school district where she was responsible for thirty-five speech pathologists. During this time Higgins published an articulation kit for severe speech disorders. The kit was very successful and was in publication for twenty years.

Later, Higgins moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she worked with three- and four-year-old hearing impaired children. At the same time, Higgins worked on speech and language skills with autistic students and severely delayed mentally handicapped students.
