This book is written to help children feel proud and brave wearing their insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. The author uses words, language, and photographs that children can relate to and find comfort in. The story's main character is Cody who is a lovable and comforting dog who goes to the vet for an appointment. His vet shows him an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor which he immediately falls in love with and learns how to use. Cody wears his new technology proudly and learns he can still do everything he did before. The author uses photographs that she took herself to show warmth, compassion, and a special personal touch by using her dog.
