The Lost Bear Jane Kopper Hilleary
The Lost Bear
Jane Kopper Hilleary
A bear lived in the forest not far from the groundhog burrow. The groundhogs had never seen him. Nobody had ever seen him. He slept all winter in an old hollow log. Summers, he spent his days fishing and picking berries up the river.
That is, until one day he awakes and finds hes overslept. He stumbles up and heads off in the wrong direction and soon realizes hes lost. He needs help from the little forest animals he sees as he makes his way through the forest, but the animals are terrified of this enormous bear and hide. When the bear falls into a deep hole and cant get out, the animals have a difficult decision to make.
This picture book for children is a story about overcoming fear to do the right thing.
