Joe Wesley grew up poor knowing he was the grandson of a slave, but he could sleep on his porch at night knowing that no one would do him any harm.

He believes the descendants of slaves and the descendants of slave owners can work together to make our country safe again-and it starts with education. Together, we can set an example for others to follow.
