Our author Earl Tucker feels that Confucius was something of a big time "pop off" in his day, but that Confucius was right when he made his famous statement: "Give the public what it wants."

Whether or not Earl is quoting Confucius exactly word for word, the public did overwhelmingly want his (Earl's, not Confucius') first book, "Rambling Rose and Flying Bricks," so much so that right off the book sold out completely. Meanwhile, for every funny story in "Rambling Rose and Flying Bricks" many people remembered at least twice as many other hilarious Tucker stories, that should have been included. So again, as Confucius may have said: "It was the people, not us, who requested "How Not to Worry About the Love Life of Spiders," and other selections, by Earl Tucker."

However, we ourselves are right proud to be involved in this, another great work by one of this country's leading humorists, whose genius remains his main claim to fame. Whether or not you read him in print, or hear him lecture, Earl Tucker continues to help people who have trouble worrying about things like spiders.
