The twins-Gussy and Jeffery-have just finished the fourth grade and now they're on their way to see their grandparents in Florida! It is a trip they make every year, and they look forward to hearing Grandfather's stories, collecting seashells, and playing in their grandparents' home, a converted old WWII barracks. Gussy and Jeffrey enjoy their stay at the South of the Border-their first time at a motel with a swimming pool! Barefoot walks along the hot road to Lake Conway keep them hot-footing it to and fro, and sucking sugar cane is one of Gussy's favorite pastimes, as well as stealing oranges from the orchard next door. But this year the twins will have an extra-special experience when Grandfather takes them to a dairy farm-and it might be just the right adventure!
