Raised a Methodist in the Bible Belt and surrounded with evangelicalism as a youth, Mr. Martin converted to the Catholic Church prior to his marriage in 1985. Touched deeply by the life of St. Therese of Lisieux and imbued with a filial love for Mary, he set out on a life-long spiritual journey to "seek first" Christ's Kingdom with Therese as his guide. Eventually led to confront his inner most being on that lonely, mystical hill of Calvary, he discovered through Mary's maternal guidance and Therese's sisterly care that Jesus had called another mighty saint to walk with him and to protect him through that dark and awful night of self-confrontation that leads us in Christ to true freedom. That saint, a spiritual sister to Therese, was Joan of Arc. These prayers, poems, and meditations are designed to help those who also desire to seek that Kingdom in union with Mary and with those whom S. T. Martin likes to call his "saintly sisters," St. Joan and St. Therese. Contributor Bio:  Martin, MR S T S. T. Martin is an educator and experienced business executive. He worked as a management consultant for both Booz & Company (formerly Booz Allen Hamilton) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) during most of the 1990's. In 1998, The Sterno Group, the internationally recognized brand manufacturer of cooking fuel, recruited S. T. as Vice-President of Operations, and after only eighteen months, the board promoted him to the position of President. In addition, he has served as Chief Operating Officer for a regional outdoor furniture manufacturer. Mr. Martin holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University and a Master's Degree in Public and Private Management from Yale University. He is married and the father of one child. He eventually came to learn that the Lord had established a spiritual sister of Therese's, St. Joan of Arc, firmly in his life and that both were leading him on his journey to the Immaculate Heart of Mary where Christ Himself reigns.
