THE AQUARIUS AGE AND PUBLISHING is a scholarly article that shows the impact of a new emerging publishing paradigm that leads us away from the commercial publishing houses to what now is known as 'self-publishing'. The process started years ago and now has reached a peak with sites like iUniverse.com, Lulu.com or CreateSpace.com. The article is written by an author who himself was never published by traditional publishing houses, an author who, while he was acclaimed already in high school for his literary and artistic skills, was rejected time and again by publishing houses and literary agents in Germany, France, Britain and the United States, over the last 30 years. The author demonstrates in this article also that self-publishing is intrinsically connected with the Aquarius Age, while it was the rule under the Pisces Age that publishing houses filter and censor content because their intention is to make a profit, not to distribute information or help gifted writers to be published.
