Dragons are used as a metaphor for anything in life that threatens, terrorizes, suffocates, or tries to destroy us. Often in life the very real dangers and threats we must face loom overwhelming like a gaint dragon. It can seem impossible for a little human to slay a dragon. But we can. We must. These poems were written over a period of thirty years of fighting and killing dragons.
