A headstrong young RCMP constable is left alone to police the quiet and peaceful island of Grand Manan, New Brunswick. However, his daily routine is disrupted when the body of a foreign national is found off a local wharf and he finds himself embroiled in a murder investigation that threatens the very fabric of the island community. Temporarily isolated from the mainland by a thick fog, he decides to pursue the case on his own in defiance of his orders.
