Before leadership becomes a role or a position used to influence others, it is a personal story. It is a story about early memories, choices, mentors, journeys, challenges, and moments that shaped us. It is a story about innocence and pushing through fear, about facing adversity, loss, limitations-and examining how our values and beliefs shape where we go from here. You are invited to tell your own story: make deep inner shifts; mature your relationships and see what you are here to learn together; impact the vocation that has meaning in your life.

It matters that we know our story. How we show up in our roles, our relationships, and our world has deep roots. A depth psychologist, I wrote this book to show, in detail, how we can grow those roots, and, today, make that difference that says to the world, "I care". You will feel my presence as you work through the personal leadership process. The book is a personal companion, a professional guide, an illustrated journal-with places to pause, write, do art, and apply learning.

If inclined toward reflection, you'll appreciate the depth. Perhaps you are at a place of transition and need a positive way to embrace what you've been through (including choices made); you're ready to do the inner work that will change, profoundly, how you view and engage with Life. As a graduate student, you'll see what integral therapy looks like.
