Howard is a dog that spends time in his fenced yard. One day while watching the birds, he decided to try to fly. At first he was unsuccessful but after many attempts he learned to fly. Howard then went on a search for other animal friends to fly with him. As each animal friend is encountered the reader will be engaged in determining what is needed for that animal to fly.
