Winston Takes a Me Day Sarah Roach

Winston woke up Monday morning knowing something was not right. After a quick self assessment, he deduced he needed to take a "me day" for some self care. His mom agreed with this analysis, and started to help Winston work through various tasks assigned by his therapist for self care sick days. Mama and Winston had breakfast in bed, called the therapist on zoom, played some games about feelings, got outside for some outdoor healing, and went on a walk. After a day of self care and working through his emotions, Winston felt much better. His mom was very happy for him, and reinforced that he can at any point tell safe adults he isn't feeling well, as it is okay to not be okay and that doesn't make him any weaker.
