The Fighting Leathernecks consists of twelve stories following the lives and adventures of some of the Marine Corps' outstanding heroes; fighters like Smedley Butler, Carlson of the Raiders, Shoup of Tarawa, Mitchell Paige and John Basilone, the hero of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.
