The Camino de Santiago de Compostela through northern Spain is a considered a cultural gem and draws thousands of modern-day pilgrims every year. Marked and trekked since the medieval times, pilgrims abandon their day-to-day lifestyles and take the open Spanish countryside toward St. James' supposed burial site. With their natural wanderlust and journalistic instinct to share the experience with others, Alexa Garcia-Ditta and Rebekah Workman spent a full month sleeping in hostel bunk beds, enjoying Spanish foods and immersing themselves in the multi-dimensional culture. Una Vida, Un Camino chronicles their unique experience through words and photos. The authors include reflections, cultural idiosyncrasies and conversation exchanges that took place along their Camino. Rebekah's photos were taken daily, and the chapters include portions of Alexa's journal and musings along the pilgrimage. The book is divided by region to give the reader a sense of moving along the trail, closer and closer to Santiago de Compostela.
