This book is written for those prison inmates, my own three sons, and children, grandchildren, fathers, and grandfathers everywhere. This book may be the words, may be the feelings that so many fathers and grandfathers everywhere are searching for to share with and to leave with their children and grandchildren. This book is the words and the feelings which author Bob had been searching for for almost thirty years. These words, these feelings, have never been expressed as in this book. This book is a legacy of life's most important questions and life's most important truths, from fathers and grandfathers to their children and grandchildren. To be honest, this personal material, written from Bob's soul, did not start out to be a book for publication. It was to be a legacy of Bob's own truth given to his three sons at a time in their lives when they were searching for their own truth. But, as you will soon discover, Father (with a capital F) got involved, and Bob's private legacy became more than just his truth to be shared with his sons. The Father gave Bob the stories, sometimes heart-breaking, sometimes side-splitting - from these both His and Bob's truths sprang forth. Our children and grandchildren are longing for real truths; this book is Bob's (and the Father's) contribution towards satisfying that longing to real questions, in today's complex world.
