Henry Francis Cary (6 December 1772 - 14 August 1844) was a British author and translator, best known for his blank verse translation of The Divine Comedy of Dante. Contributor Bio:  Cary, Henry Rev. Henry Francis Cary (6 December 1772 - 14 August 1844) was a British translator. Plato (428/427 or 424/423 BC - 348/347 BC) was a philosopher in Classical Greece.
