This novel starts with a bang and builds from there. It is definitely a thriller! The opening scene shows Nathan Connors seeing his future wife have her clothes ripped off by three big sadistic young men. Nathan happens by just as they start. He ridicules and insults the men to stop the rape, and then he takes them apart bare handed.

After the rich thugs leave, Samantha follows him to his office to clean up and because she is curious about him. After they both are cleaned up, the doorbell rings. Nathan opens the door and is shot at point blank range in the chest. Nathan lashes out with his hand and kills the assassin with one blow. Then he drags the man inside and closes the door. Blood is staining his shirt on the front and back.

Samantha starts to the phone. Nathan stops her and says he does not want medical attention. He has many powerful enemies. However not only has he lived for over four thousand years, but also he has a body that heals far better than most people do.

This is a fascinating story with some amazing events taking place. It has everything, adventure, suspense, romance, action, and a great ending. You have much excitement ahead of you!

The main character is much the same as Jack Reacher with special powers.
