Buried In The Heartlandis a novel about the disappearance of a small town doctor. Lee Fischer blames the Doctor for his mothers death and threatens him. Lee's romantic relationship is affected when his friends mother talks to the authorities ,although she still acts as his attorney. Where is the Doctor ,is he dead ,if so, where is the body? Finally there is a shooting at the court house, who will be left.
