Richard Chojnacki, aka Stosh, would like to change the world; Paul Moret wants nothing more than to survive in it. After losing his wife to cancer, and subsequently becoming engaged to a Filipino who deserts him shortly after arriving in America, Moret ends up on Ward Three at Brightmore Hospital where he meets and befriends Stosh, a child of the sixties and now an aging hippie and would-be author. Together the two men come to an understanding. Stosh, who is slowing dying of Alzheimer's, and agrees to turn over all of his papers to Paul for safekeeping on the condition that Paul begin searching for the Peace Center where Stosh hopes to have his papers published in book form. Thus begins The Elvis Cure, a comic-serio novel of love, peace, and universal brotherhood.
