It was to be their greatest outdoor adventure yet. Since the time Elf-a pampered indoor cat- discovered that she could open doors with her extraordinary thumbed paws, she and her curious older brother Sherlock had ventured outside whenever Owner was away. This time, along with their teammates, January-an artistic and clever hare-Buddy-the rascal cat from next door-and Flash-a fierce yet charming firefly- they leave on a journey that will take them to the distant country neighborhood of Hampton in search of others as exceptional as Elf . . . a journey that quickly turns into a voyage of betrayal and terror.

Caught under the spell of the evil Hampton Witch, Sherlock tricks January into following him to the witch's cabin in the Creeper Woods where bad things are about to happen. With the help of some remarkable allies and with time running out, Elf musters her courage and sets off on a dangerous rescue mission with only two goals in mind: freeing January, and liberating her beloved brother from the curse of the Hampton Witch.

Both could prove to be deadly . . .
