A young boy is shuffled around during his boyhood from foster homes and finally to a relative in New Orleans. As a teenager he runs away from this stabilizing environment, knocking about until he winds up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Here, he is given an entry level job with a plumbing wholesale firm and he excels beyond anyone expectations, and pleasing his superiors. The owner has a daughter who becomes enamoured with the young man and lures him into a marriage and there followed three little ones. He decides that it is not the life a restless wanderer, he feigns suicide and goes a wild persuit of the good life leaving a trail of tears and disillusionment as he embarks on a life where he assumes several new identities, and new wives, from Florida to California even using the Hurricane Katrina as a cover. A real chameleon until his past catches up with him and???
