September 11th, 2006. I Have a Dream, is a touching, fictional story about a fifth grade girl who was entering an Upper Elementary School. Every year when it was time to return to school, she had to face her biggest fear: September 11th, 2001. She remebered that day so vividly. She had just started kindergarten, then after the attacks on our country, her world shattered. As time went on, her life changed and she matured, however; she just couldn't let go of the horrid memory of that unforgettable day. After her father took her to see Ground Zero, she had a peaceful dream that would ease her fear and sorrow. She dreamt that Ground Zero would be transformed into a memorial park. Every aspect of the park would be dedicated to those who so needlessly had to parish. In her dream, the memorial would feel like heaven. It was filled with beauty and serenity to honor the fallen. The park served as a promise that there is always a brighter tomorrow. This amazing story of one child's vision is essential for every home and classroom library. September 11th, 2001 is a day that we will all remember for the rest of our lives.
