Synopsis Cuckoos Hollow is a beautiful valley, green and tranquil, with a winding river and a great lake. In this wilderness there are many creatures big and small, all very different, living near to each other yet not together. For five of these young creatures this is the beginning of adventures and excitement as they explore the lake and its surroundings. Previously lonely, they find friendship together playing games and having fun. However danger too exists around the valley in the shape of two boys, who cause many problems for its inhabitants. As James and his friends encounter the boys more and more things come to a head with a dramatic night rescue and challenges that prove true friends, no matter where they are from, are always there for each other. A story for anyone who understands what it means to be a real friend.
