Memories of Adventure: A Travel Memoir chronicles Jose Fermin's global escapade. He hiked, trekked, climbed mountains, horsebacked, spelunked, hot-air ballooned, paraglided, parasailed, plane sailed, snorkeled, kayaked, sailed, swam with penguins and sea lions, white-water rafted, did safaris, mingled with indigenous tribes, like the Masai, Mayan, Incan, Maori, in all seven continents. He considers Torres del Paine "one of the loveliest corners of the world," the Blue Voyage, "intoxicating," and the millions of wildebeests, migrating to Masai Mara, "unforgettable." He cruised to Antarctica for egoistic reason, but came back a humbled man. "When it comes to adventure, nothing beats Africa," he concluded.
