SHACHELLA JAMES is an award winning technology professional with over a decade of management experience. Shachella's interest in diversity comes from her experiences in corporate America as well as her personal travels. She based Sentarse Means Sit on her international experiences; but, her inspiration was her 3 year old daughter, Darias. In writing Sentarse Means Sit, Shachella wanted to emphasize for her daughter and other children two things: self appreciation and acceptance. Although written for children, the book's concepts translate easily into a corporate environment and everyday life situations. Sentarse Means Sit is her first book. Mrs. James lives in Missouri City, Texas with her husband, Darrell, and their two children, Darias and Daschal.
