The Ultimate Sacrifice was set in the small, fictional town of Three Forks in beautiful Oklahoma. This book, a working of my own imagination, is about Hank Davis, a young man who lost his parents in an automobile accident and how he set out to prove it was no accident. His faithful rottweiler dog Ranger, eager to obey and please his master, was at his side constantly every since Hank rescued him from certain death.
Hank's former school days friend, Marie Dawson, returned to Three Forks after graduation from a school out east to visit her father who owned a bar and restaurant. She remembers Hank from school days and it wasn't long before their friendship grew into a little more than simply good friends. She could hardly forget the way he always teased her with frogs and grasshoppers. Her grasshopper man had come home. They enjoyed many happy rides together in beautiful Oklahoma, where they both grew up.
But Hank wouldn't admit how much he was beginning to care for her. That was going to have to wait until they had solved the mystery of his parents' accident. The three of them discovered what really happened but not before the one who loved him the most sacrificed their own life to save his. With their faith in the Lord and their own dogged determination they also discovered who abused Ranger when he was but a helpless puppy. Even though their life was full of tragedies they learned to cope with it all in a new beginning together.
