First published in 1913, "Pollyanna" is Eleanor H. Porter's popular tale of youthful exuberance that has been cherished by young readers ever since its first publication. However when tragedy strikes she is finally challenged with a situation in which she cannot be happy about and the townsfolk are called to rally to her side to help her regain her positive outlook on life.
