While my little story indeed begins on a cold baseball diamond one early spring day in my beloved Chicago. It does segue into a love story. Not a love story of the pulp fiction type. Just a peek at what life is really all about. After all - it's all about L-O-V-E! One young man's longing for the love and companionship of an elusive young woman. This woman has more than one mission in her young years. She is more driven by her devotion to a loving Mother...a widow...who is in her dying days... and in need of loving care...as well as a devout dedication to her church and her God. "Mantilla Lady;" is much less of baseball and far more of people and places. There's beautiful music on most every page and most importantly, a 'Love Story' is hiding between these covers. Yes...it's really...all about love!
