Sunset Point
Charles Latham Doxey
Good story-telling is probably one of the most difficult and rare gifts a person can have and probably even more difficult is getting your work published and widely distributed. Latham Doxey has published his first book, "Sunset Point," and has received national attention for it.
The story is about a World War II bomber pilot who was shot down after a bombing mission off the coast of Japan during World War II. It is based on stories from old log books and a stamp collection his grandfather left the family.
The setting of the book takes the reader to Sea Island, Ga., Tolono, Ill., and Wedowee, Ala., to the Teachatticup gold mine near Las Vegas and an island, Sado Island, where World War II prisoners were kept during the war.
This is a wonderful story and highly recommended to readers of all ages.
