Theyoung couple was soon married and not long after their marriage, the ChineseCommunist soldiers invaded Shanghai.¿ The Chinese Nationalist Forces and theAmerican Forces then withdrew from Shangai.¿ The young couple with allother American military families were sent by the U. S. Government to theStates.¿ They went to San Francisco where they established residence and raised twochildren.¿ The parents of the coupleeventually immigrated to the U. S. A.
