During my years of working with the mentally ill, hearingtheir stories about life and disappointments, I found myself wanting to expressuplifting thoughts to them.¿ That nomatter how high the mountain or deep the valley, they are not alone.¿ If they just have faith in God, trust andbelieve in Him through prayer, things will change.¿ The poems written by mewas placed on a reality board for them to read with pictures drawn by afriend.¿ What is so amazing to me is thatno matter how sick they were most would stop to look at and read thepoems.¿ Not only did the patients readthem but staff and visitors would also.¿They encouraged me to continue to write and share my poems.¿ I stayed with it and now, praise God, I have been blessed with this book.
